Performance Spotlight: JL Audio Fathom Subwoofer
Today’s Performance Spotlight is on the JL Audio Fathom Subwoofer. The Fathom is an In-Wall Subwoofer System with Dual 13.5-inch Subwoofer Drivers, and 2000 watts of power.
Created by the same minds that engineered JL Audio’s reference-grade Fathom® and Gotham® powered subwoofers, comes an amazing in-wall subwoofer solution.
Two critically engineered enclosures house these exotic drivers, with a unique floating mount design to minimize wall excitation. The enclosures showcase extensive architectural features aimed at improving rigidity while keeping a very low profile and minimal wall thickness.
JL Audio Fathom Subwoofer-Uninstalled
The Fathom includes a paintable, fine steel-mesh grille, also designed to control vibration. The photos below show the Fathom IWSv2-SYS-213. The grill has been painted to match the walls, therefore blending into any decor.
