Intelligent Design Contracted by Miami Downtown Development Authority
Intelligent Design is very pleased to announce that we have been contracted by the Miami Downtown Development Authority to design and deploy their Smart Conference and Presentation Room. Not only are they a great agency doing great things in Downtown Miami, they are also our neighbors!
For this project, we have brought together a balance of high performance Intelligent Technologies, while keeping a responsible budget in mind. The new Smart System will provide a high degree of convenience, security and reliability, while maintaining an ease of use that will be intuitive to everyone. Just a few features of the new room are:
- Multiple display abilities, including an HD projector with 160″ inch motorized screen.
- Video Conferencing featuring a pan-tilt-zoom capabilities and omni-directional microphones.
- Control4 Smart Control.
- Lutron Motorized Window Treatments.
The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) is an independent agency of the City of Miami funded by a special tax levy on properties within its district boundaries. The agency is governed by a 15-member board of directors, which includes three public appointees and 12 downtown property owners, business owners, and/or residents. The board sets policy direction, which is implemented by a multi-disciplinary team under the oversight of the executive director.
Our mission is to grow, strengthen and promote the economic health and vitality of Downtown Miami. As an autonomous agency of the City, the Miami DDA advocates, facilitates, plans, and executes business development, planning and capital improvements, and marketing and communication strategies. We commit to fulfill our mission collaboratively, ethically and professionally, consistent with the Authority’s public purpose.
